EATING MEETINGS
All meetings will be Eating Meetings!
Talks at meetings will be mostly on food and popularising vegetarianism.
Interaction among members will be to always encourage meetings with emphasis on Eat-Meet and not Eat-Meat.
Meeting regularity :
Minimum it should be monthly. It can also be weekly too like Rotary Clubs.
Venue :
Any place like Hotels, Homes of Members (terrace), and apartment Complexes, public places (both closed and open) like parks, private gardens, beach and river bank.
Food:
If the meeting is conducted in a hotel the food can be ordered there itself with the condition it should be vegetarian. It will be best for the members to use every opportunity to display their culinary skills. It could also be POT LUCK, each member bringing one vegetarian dish prepared by him/her to the meeting.
Fun in meetings – eating food born out of ‘craziest’ ideas:
There can be competition for innovations in cooking, creating new recipes coming under the crazy idea category, like a cake made of
chilli powder and sugar, a food item combining Italian pizza with south Indian Dosa. Pasta Pongal, Pasta Upuma, Lime, Tamarind,
coconut or sugar noodle bath, sandwiching a chapatti between two dosas or vice versa, etc. People use different tools to eat food viz.
spoons/ forks to chop sticks. For example there can be eating competition with the use of chop sticks.
News Letter
Each Club is authorised to publish its news letter, name of it will be “Veg-edge, (Place/Club). The newsletter should be published as often as a club meets, either weekly or twice a month
Tie ups & partnerships
Each club can carry on its activities in collaboration with like minded organisations. It can have the support & partnership of hotels & the business houses that are in food trade & manufacturing.
Veg Food Mela
International and National Veg. dishes can be displayed, served and sold in Food Melas that can be conducted together by all the Veg. edge Clubs around the town / city.
Suggestions, comments, ideas are welcome to make Veg edge a great concept.
